Teaching Fellowship Positions Available | |
Fall-Winter, 2013-14 |
The Department of Film and Media invites applications for Teaching Fellowship positions for Fall/Winter 2013-2014. The process of appointing qualified Teaching Fellows to these positions is outlined in the Collective Agreement between PSAC 901 and Queen's University. The Department will review applications and appoint teaching fellows in reference to candidates' teaching and academic experience as it applies to the course subject field and in reference to the candidates' priority for a Teaching Fellowship as specified by the Collective Agreement. All positions are subject to availability of funding and number of enrollments in the course. Graduate students in Preference Group A as defined by the Collective Agreement will have priority for teaching fellow positions. Applicants in other preference pools will be considered if positions are still available. Applicants should be ABD. Applicants should submit an application file consisting of an up-to-date curriculum vita, a short note or email from at least one referee (normally the supervisor), a copy of transcript(s) (unofficial versions from SOLUS and similar systems will suffice,) and a one-page statement that identifies in order of priority the fellowship(s) for which you are applying and that describes briefly your teaching experience, teaching interests and approach to teaching. Also include a one-page general or schematic outline of your first priority course. For more information on specific courses, consult the Arts and Science calendar and the Film and Media website. The Department of Film and Media may require Teaching Fellows for the following courses.
TF-ships will not be offered to candidates in Group B, C or D until the qualified candidates in Group A have been exhausted. In addition, we will do our best to match your preference to course offerings. Please see the PSAC website for more information on the composition of the groups. For more information, please contact Linda Graham, Administrative Assistant, Film and Media: linda.graham@queensu.ca, or telephone 613 533-6000 #77013.
