The FILM 315 Blog is filled with contributions from the students in our Department's first online course, Digital Media Theory, being offered this summer by Prof. Sidneyeve Matrix.

Two of of this year's FILM 451* films have received industry recognition: editor Deb Gurofsky's work on We Make Machines was honoured at the Canadian Cinema Editors Awards, and Living With Death was screened in the American Pavilion Student Program at the Cannes Film Festival.

The short documentary Fat, produced by Margaret Donahoe and Gillian Good in the FILM 355 class, was accepted for the TIFF Student Film Showcase in Toronto on 24 May, and has received some press as a result.

The Stage and Screen students planned and performed a "spontaneous musical" in the library in April. Watch it on YouTube: Stauffer: Raise Your Books.

FILM 410* takes a lighthearted, maybe sometimes outrageous, approach to going green. Students Advocating Sustainable Strategies includes videos of everything from a helpful handyman to some composting worms.

FILM 410* 2011 has produced their 60-second Movies -- big concepts compressed to pocket size for quick download.
